Alex was the Brazilian motor racing champion in 1973. From 1976 to 1979 he drove F1 for the Hesketh, March and Fittipaldi Teams but enjoyed far more success in F2 and F3. His career highlight was the F2 victory in Nurburgring, Germany in 1978. Later Alex returned to the F1 track driving the medical car. Today he works in sport chaplaincy in Brazil. Scariest moment as a racing driver: A big accident in Snetterton when my GRD F3 hit the bank, went airborne and rolled 6 times. Best F1 driver you have ever driven against: Ayrton Senna Best moment in your racing career: The F2 GP race in Nürburgring in 1978. Who will win the 2010 F1 Drivers Championship? A tough call this season but I believe it will be one of Massa, Rosberg or Michael Schumacher.
