Tu is a former scrum-half who represented Manu Samoa in 36 matches including 10 Tests from 1990 and 1996, participating in two Rugby World Cups in Wales 1991 and South Africa 1995. He played club rugby for Waitakere RC in New Zealand and as a rugby professional for West Hartlepool in England as well as representing New Zealand provinces Auckland, Counties and North Harbour in over 50 first class games. His surname is pronounced Noo-ah-lee-tee-ah. Most Admired Player: All Black legend Michael Jones. He lived and played for the glory of God first and foremost. Best Rugby Memory: Too many to over a ten-year first class career but very fond of the following: 1. Being a member of the Western Samoa team who beat Wales in the 1991 Rugby World Cup in Cardiff; 2. Scoring a try against South Africa in the 1995 Rugby World Cup quarter final at Ellis Park; 3. Playing my last Test for Samoa against the All Blacks in 1996. Other Sports Enjoyed: Football (I am a Tottenham Hotspur fan) and NFL (Indianapolis Colts). Who Will Win The 2010 Tri-Nations? Being a kiwi I can’t go beyond the All Blacks as their end of year form from their successful northern hemisphere tour in November suggests they will be the team to beat; and with the 2011 Rugby World Cup in sight the pressure will be on NZ not to peak too soon. The Wallabies have retained Robbie Deans as coach to 2011 and will severely test the ARU’s faith in him if the results do not improve from last year. As for South Africa, they are a team in decline since winning the 2007 rugby world cup, their players will be getting on in years and the results from their end of year northern hemisphere tour also showed they are short on depth of quality players if replacements are required if incumbents in the starting 15 are unavailable. Who will win the 2010 Six Nations? Ireland will win and Italy will pick up the wooden spoon. Favourite Bible Verse as a sportsman: Colossians 3.23 “Whatever you do, do wholeheartedly for the Lord and not for man...”
