Ryan Giggs Wins Players Award
football27 April: Ryan Giggs has won the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year Award for the first time in his career.  The Manchester United midfielder has been in terrific form in this, his 18th season at the Old Trafford club.  Giggs, now 35, beat fellow United players Nemanja Vidic, Edwin Van Der Sar, Rio Ferdinand and Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to win the title.  The Welsh international made his United debut against Everton at the age of 17 in March 1991.  His manager then, as now, was Sir Alex Ferguson.  If he plays against Arsenal in the European Champions League semi-final, first leg on 29 April, it will be his 800th appearance for the club.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
