| Beckham to stay at AC Milan until end of season |
Former England captain David Beckham will stay at AC Milan until the end of the season. The 33-year-old Los Angeles Galaxy player has made a big impression with the Serie A side after joining on loan in January, scoring two goals in nine Serie A matches. He is now keen to make the move permanent after originally joining Milan to stay fit during the Major League Soccer off-season. Under the original deal Beckham was due to return to Galaxy on 9 March but after protracted negotiations the MLS club have now agreed to let him to stay with Milan until the end of the season. Beckham will return to the US in July with his first game back set to be at New York Red Bulls on 18 July. He will then return to Milan in November before returning to Galaxy in July 2010.
