Manu Samoa qualify for 2011 World Cup

18 July: Manu Samoa have qualified for the 2011 Rugby World Cup with a 73-12 win over Papua New Guinea on Saturday. They join Canada among the qualifying teams who have reached the finals. The Pacific islanders will be in Pool D alongside world champions South Africa, Wales and Fiji. Although it's a tough group, Manu Samoa will be encouraged by memories of beating Wales in the 2003 World Cup, as Western Samoa. Namibia and Tunisia meet in November to decide the final qualifying place.
