The standard of refereeing at this year's FIFA World Cup has come under the spotlight with high profile mistakes hitting the headlines. Germany fans enjoyed the sense of irony when Frank Lampard's shot was ruled out despite clearing the line by a metre, reflecting on Geoff Hurst's goal in the 1966 final which appeared to hit the line but not cross it.
